OKX Wallet has announced that it will discontinue SRC-20 support on August 6. After the related wallet is deactivated, the application will no longer recognize or display assets using the standard.

The tokens will remain on the blockchain and will not move under OKX control. Owners can continue accessing them through another compatible wallet using their own keys or recovery phrase. Users should verify the official website of any replacement wallet and never disclose recovery information to third-party services.

The decision highlights the difference between an asset existing on a decentralized network and being supported by a user interface. A token may remain technically accessible, while losing integration with a major wallet reduces convenience, visibility and potential liquidity for ordinary users.
