Bitget Wallet has formalized its partnership with payment network Mesh, extending an existing integration. The collaboration is intended to make it easier for users to move and spend digital assets they already hold in their wallets.
Mesh connects crypto exchanges, wallets and financial platforms through one network for payments and conversions. Bitget Wallet combines self-custody with transfers, stablecoin payments, cards and local methods for buying and cashing out assets. According to the company, spending through its cards tripled during the first half of 2026.
The partnership shows crypto wallets gradually moving from storage tools toward payment applications. Self-custody, however, does not remove dependence on external payment infrastructure. Conversion, route availability, fees and transaction screening may still rely on Mesh and other connected services.
