Progmat, Japan's major security token platform, has moved regulated digital securities activity onto Avalanche infrastructure. The latest update around the migration points to more than 452 billion yen in related assets and securities, while earlier Avalanche material described the shift from Corda to a dedicated Avalanche Layer 1 for tokenized real estate and corporate bonds.

The point is not that another RWA project chose a public-chain stack. The stronger signal is that regulated securities platforms are testing public-chain compatibility without giving up institutional controls. If this works smoothly, tokenized securities may gain better interoperability with global blockchain tooling.

The second-order risk is operational: regulated issuers still need predictable permissions, audits, settlement rules and recovery processes even when the chain layer becomes faster.

Next, watch whether Progmat uses the new setup for new issuance, not only migration.
