The SilentSwap team has submitted a proposal for a Swap Privately option in the Uniswap interface. Users could choose a privacy-enhanced route while the trade still executes against Uniswap liquidity, followed by non-custodial routing designed to reduce links between addresses.

The proposed architecture could use Uniswap v4 hooks or UniswapX. Its authors describe pre-execution AML and sanctions screening, zero-knowledge proofs and a time-locked smart-contract refund path if settlement fails.

This is an early-stage RFC, not an approved Uniswap feature. It would still require technical review, audits, testnet deployment and later decisions by the community and Uniswap Labs. The central test is whether transaction privacy can be combined with transparent screening and dependable recovery when execution fails.
