Securitize Capital, a subsidiary of Securitize, is now registered with the SEC as an investment adviser. The unit previously operated as an exempt reporting adviser. For a tokenized asset platform, this is not just a regulatory badge. It expands the controlled infrastructure around onchain funds and investment strategies.
Securitize already combines a broker-dealer, ATS, transfer agent and fund administration capabilities in the U.S. Adding a registered adviser moves tokenization closer to traditional asset management, where the product is not only the token or the trading venue, but also disclosure, supervision, recordkeeping and client obligations.
The risk is that regulation can improve trust without removing strategy risk. A compliant wrapper does not make every onchain allocation safe. Next, watch which tokenized funds or managed strategies Securitize builds under this wider regulated stack.
