MoonPay has added Telegram support for MoonAgents, its AI crypto assistant. Users can create a Telegram bot through BotFather, connect it to the MoonAgents desktop app and use chat prompts for market checks, dashboards, transaction preparation and on-chain monitoring.
MoonPay own materials describe MoonAgents as a non-custodial layer with crypto tools for wallets, swaps, bridges, market data and fiat access, while private keys remain on the user’s device.
This matters less as a “Telegram bot” launch and more as a distribution test for agentic finance. If crypto actions move from exchange screens into everyday chat apps, the interface gets simpler, but the risk also shifts: bad prompts, fake bots or model mistakes may become part of the transaction flow.
Next, watch whether Telegram usage turns into real signed transactions, and how MoonPay handles approvals, limits and error recovery.
