Bitget Wallet partnered with alfred to let users in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Colombia fund stablecoin accounts through domestic bank transfers. The integration supports local payment rails such as Pix in Brazil, CVU in Argentina and SPEI in Mexico, converting local currency into dollar-pegged stablecoins including USDC and USDT inside Bitget Wallet.
This matters because the hardest part of stablecoin adoption is often not holding the token, but getting into it from local money. A bank-transfer on-ramp can make dollar stablecoins more accessible to users who do not want P2P trades or separate exchange accounts.
The second-order risk is corridor reliability: local rails, FX liquidity and compliance blocks can still interrupt the experience.
Next, watch conversion costs, supported countries and whether usage shifts from saving into payments and remittances.
