Mantle is migrating its Super Portal from LayerZero OFT setup to Chainlink CCIP and the Cross-Chain Token standard. The migration window is scheduled for 9–15 July 2026, with the Super Portal temporarily suspended.

Mantle says existing MNT on Ethereum and Solana, as well as activity on Bybit and Byreal, should remain unaffected during the process.

This matters because bridge infrastructure is becoming a reputation layer, not just a technical route. Projects with large tokens now have to show which security assumptions they are choosing and why.

The second-order risk is dependency shift: moving away from one interoperability stack may reduce one set of risks while increasing reliance on another provider’s uptime, governance and upgrade path.
